The Vanity Collection for Sandy Liang
The Vanity Collection by Analuisa Corrigan for Sandy Liang was designed as a nod to the rise of the opulent and supremely elegant vanity tables of the late 17th century. A celebration of femininity and self-adoration with a modern take on what was once the epitome of glamour and luxury. Each piece is bespoke and made of ceramic and melted glass, inspired by the classical antiquity of Italian commesso pieces from the mid 1500's
The mirrors are backed with a mount board, allowing them to be easily placed on any surface including desks, nightstands and shelves. Rather than criticizing self-adoration, the collection honors and celebrates it. It explores the ornamental and overly decorative dressing tables of the 17th century, functioning purely as pieces for glamour and vanity.
